Last night in my inbox there was a explore warn about Adrian Sudbury a young newspaper reporter in the UK who won a in the Best Medical/Health Issues category for which documents his battle with leukemia. Congratulations. Adrian! Leukemia is an illness I know a bring together amount about so I was curious to hit the books more about Adrian and what he’s been writing. Baldy’s blog is courageous and makes the personal global. I was awestruck not only by what Adrian writes about his battle with leukemia but having the opportunity to get a glimpse into a man’s life whom I would never had known anything about if it weren’t for his allocate winning communicate. Not only was I able to read about him but I was able to join in the conversation. Then this morning I received another about communicate writing. I skimmed the enumerate to see if there was anything that stood out before reading them all. One of the descriptions was about a recent conference “Beyond The Web: Connecting To The World” that had been held at a college in New Paltz. New York where I’d gone to school many years approve. Naturally the whole technology and alumni connection caught my eye. The bind mentioned a video. “Did you know?” (embedded from YouTube below) which had been shown to conference participants. The history behind the video is this: it was created for a Colorado high school staff of 150 in August of 2006 to start a conversation about what students ordain be to be sucessful in the 21st century. By June 2007 an updated version had been created and it’s estimated that there undergo been at least 5 million conversations about it around the world. Which is completely amazing! The video contains some astonishing facts and figures about the evolution of technology the alter that is happening right before our eyes; and what the world ordain be like for our children. There are far too many facts to have in mind here and I wouldn’t do them justice. Instead it ordain only take you about eight minutes to watch the video. My guess is that after viewing it you’ll want to pass it along to friends adding to the millions who have already talked about it. “We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.”–Alfred Einstein

"Skate. impressions?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-11 19:48:45

It's really starting to change on me. When the show first came out i wasnt a fan because i didnt know how to do anything but once i did all that hate got thrown out the window. After buying this and playing the demo for the new Tony deal i won't be playing a TH bet again most likely. This + Rick James on the soundtrack = good bet. Personally after having put a little bit of measure into both of the demos. I'm comfort too on the close in about either of them to check them out. PG seems to be changing too much just to give the impression that this bet is different than the previous games glide. while I understand it's a ton more realistic and everything is sometimes too complex for me to really like. I am leaning towards skate. though. And I'll probably comfort pick up PG for the DS at least lol ---XBL: CobaltFalconV"Themself's""Poters""we not not gonna tolerate this cram no more."More nuggets of D_Light coming soon. A unify of either color or black Air Force 1's. It'll be on if they undergo my size of shoe available. Played the show and it does have a learning curve compared to TH games those you can jump right into. Probably does get better once you learn the controls I just always **** up on grinds. all those new and extra moves arent really need in THPG. the aggro displace and the analyse are pointless.. it makes it feel desire they took a step back from P8 and it gives the game more of a flux type of feel the video was funny! there was another one i saw on yuesday called death from above.. i'll look for it The game is butter. The only problem I undergo the aim is TOO big im finding little spots I could skate for hours and then I sight something I pass by and ba another spot. It is awesome. Son-ALA wrote:all those new and extra moves arent really need in THPG. the aggro displace and the analyse are pointless.. it makes it conclude desire they took a go back from P8 and it gives the bet more of a flux type of feel the video was funny! there was another one i saw on yuesday called death from above.. i'll look for it lol at the videoPG has more realistic be but comfort displace off crazy combos and storyline is ok with three different types of skating. But i wish you comfort as the pro and go through a real glide season and hit the books new tricks and alter your glide aggroup better. desire DC,Element,BBC,Ice cream, adjust etc...

"Joyce seems perfectly capable of making her own impressions" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-25 15:05:59

When Diebold declined to share proprietary software with NC elections officials in 2005. Electronic Systems and Software (ES&S) through became the only approved vendor of election equipment in North Carolina. Printelect is a North Carolina company with offices in New Bern and printing operations in Fayetteville. Printelect is the authorized dealer for in North Carolina. South Carolina and Virginia and the only ES&S certified printing vendor in these states. Printelect specializes in printed optical scan ballots which it supplies nationwide as come up as providing other election related products. Printelect is presented on affiliate websites as "Printelect. Inc.," and as the "Owen G. Dunn Company" doing business as "Printelect". The NC Secretary of State's Office has no record of a corporate filing for "Printelect. Inc.," either as a new affiliate label change or merger. The measure Annual Report filed by the Owen G. Dunn Company was for the fiscal year ending 12/31/2004. The company also operates "Dunn's Office Solutions" in New Bern. Searches of the records of the Registers of Deeds in Cumberland County. Craven County and change state County do not indicate the filing of any Assumed Name Forms for an entity named Printelect. The only related filing was in 1998 in Cumberland County for the "Owen G. Dunn affiliate" DBA "Fayetteville Printing and Office Supply Company". In Wake County. N. C. which uses ES&S optical examine machines. come in of Elections Director Cherie Poucher said a local non-ES&S certified vendor. Commercial Printing charges no more than 13 cents per vote. Printelect charges up to 33 cents per ballot. Poucher said her elections office entangle it was wise to use Printelect for the 2006 primary and command elections because those were the first elections using new state-required voting equipment. By all accounts Printelect is a responsible and reliable vendor and election observers are relieved that Diebold did not succeed in 2005. At a meeting of the Forsyth Board of Elections in 2006 Joyce McCloy of the NC Coalition for Verified Voters commended the Board for not choosing Diebold voting equipment. At the same meeting Elections Director Rob Mr. Coffman discussed the printing of the ballot: He stated he got a quote from PrintElect who was an ES&S recommended vendor and the ballots would cost 28 cents each. He received a quote from another ES&S certified printer in Michigan and the ballots would be 14 cents each. He explained had talked with the State Board of Elections and they were book with using the Michigan printer on the condition they get ballots to test and are able to confirm the quality of the ballots. Printelect. Inc. located in Fayetteville. North Carolina formerly Owen G. Dunn Company and Fayetteville Printing affiliate have been in business combined for over 176 years. We have printed optical scan ballots since their introduction in the Southeast in 1976.:::::Today we are the largest printer of optical scan ballots on the east coast and one of the largest in the United States. In most election years we ordain produce over 10 million ballots. We currently furnish most optical scan ballots used in North Carolina. Vermont. New Hampshire. Maine. Massachusetts. Florida. Georgia. Maryland. South Carolina. Missouri. Alaska. Virginia and New Mexico.:::::Originally trained and certified by Election Systems and Software (ES&S) we print ballots for the Optech III-P Eagle and Optech III-P machines. We work together with your vote programmer in answering any technical questions which may become concerning your ballots. I am not a connoisseur of elections election equipment or procedures. Others are much more knowledgeable (and opinionated) than me on the subject. From what I know optical scan technology is very reliable. ES&S is deemed superior to Diebold in North Carolina and Printelect has been dependable. I undergo always been troubled by the bushel sourcing of equipment supplies and function. For matters related to the integrity and security of voting I would however expect the credentials of vendors to be impeccable and verifiable. When voter registration criteria including identity and location are contentious I don't think it is too much to ask that Printelect formally register where it conducts business. A. Formerly Owen G. Dunn affiliate founded in 1902 in New Bern. North Carolina. Printelect has been in the election industry for over one hundred years. As the largest printer of optical scan ballots and one of the largest printers in the country we currently furnish millions of ballots throughout the United States annually. As an authorized dealer for Election Systems and Software (ES&S) in North Carolina. South Carolina and Virginia we have extensive undergo with optical scan and DRE technology. Printelect has installed and maintained the state-wide voting systems in both North Carolina and South Carolina and we are currently growing transactions throughout Virginia. Our corporate.
